Community Guidelines
- Be Respectful
Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of background, opinion, or experience level. Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks won’t be tolerated.
- Stay On-Topic
Keep discussions relevant to tech, innovation, and African digital growth. Off-topic posts may be removed to maintain focus.
- No Spam or Over-Promotion
Self-promotion is allowed in moderation—especially if it provides value (e.g., tutorials, resources, events). Avoid repetitive, irrelevant, or salesy content.
- Credit Sources
When sharing insights, stats, or content, always give proper credit. Plagiarism or unverified claims reduce the trust and quality of our space.
- Use the Right Channels
Post in the appropriate category or group (e.g., coding, design, AI, fintech). This helps others find useful content more easily.
- Protect Privacy
Don’t share anyone’s private information without consent—yours or others’. Respect confidentiality and digital boundaries.
- Report Issues, Don’t Escalate
If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it to our team. Don’t respond with hostility or try to “call out” others publicly.
Consequences for Violations
We reserve the right to remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts that breach these guidelines. Severe or repeated violations may lead to permanent bans.
Let’s Build Together
These guidelines exist to protect what makes Talk Tech Africa special. If you’re ever unsure about what’s appropriate, just ask—or follow the principle: “add value first.”
