Talk Tech Africa › Forums › Let’s talk: What’s really holding back African startups from going global?
We’ve seen some amazing startups rise across Africa, from fintech to logistics to health tech. But let’s be honest, very few have managed to break into global markets.
So what’s stopping them?
Is it funding? Infrastructure? Talent? Or maybe how investors and users outside Africa perceive African brands?
Some people say policies and cross-border issues make it hard to scale, while others think it’s a mix of mindset and marketing.
What do you think is really holding African startups back?
And are there any success stories we can learn from?
