To keep the Talk Tech Africa platform meaningful and organized, here’s a clear guide on how to post content that adds value and sparks constructive conversations.

Before You Post
Ask yourself:
- Is this relevant to the community or category?
- Does it offer value (e.g., insight, opportunity, resource, question)?
- Am I being respectful, clear, and concise?

Types of Content You Can Share
- Questions & Answers – Ask for help or insights. Tag relevant communities.
- Tutorials/Guides – Share step-by-step how-tos, walkthroughs, or case studies.
- Resources – Share tools, ebooks, templates, and research (with attribution).
- Opportunities – Jobs, internships, hackathons, scholarships, and more.
- Showcases – Share your project, startup, or tech initiative for feedback.
- News & Trends – Post about emerging tech trends or major African developments.
- Formatting Best Practices
- Use clear titles that reflect your post content.
- Break up long posts with bullet points or subheadings.
- Use tags (where available) to help users find your post.
- Avoid ALL CAPS unless necessary.
- What Not to Post
- Off-topic content unrelated to tech or Africa’s digital space
- Spammy or aggressive self-promotion
- Plagiarized or uncredited content
- Personal information or confidential data
- Harmful, divisive, or inflammatory content
- Interacting with Others’ Posts
- Add thoughtful comments or follow-up questions
- Use likes/reactions to show appreciation
- Report inappropriate content via the flag/report button
- Avoid derailing threads or attacking contributors
- Language & Tone
- Use inclusive, welcoming, and professional language.
- Avoid slang, abbreviations, or inside jokes that exclude others.
- Feel free to post in English or French, but aim to be clear.
- Moderation
All posts are subject to moderation. Repeat violations of these guidelines may lead to warnings, content removal, or account suspension.
